This place has a good variety of small side dishes, though the flavors need a bit more spice. The kim chee wasn't quite punchy enough. The seasoned mushrooms had a nice tang. The cucumbers had a pretty good spice. The fish tasted fresh.
We ordered a combination. You choose one tofu based hot pot. We had the one with kim chee and beef. Next time, we'll order it extra spicy. It tasted better than Tofu Village, but not as good as some places on Long Point. Rekha also had the BBQ ribs. Again, not quite as good as Tofu Village, but still pretty good.
So this place is pretty good, but individual dishes aren't the best in town. Despite a lack of "best" anything, we'll come back because the combination of beautiful decoration (modern and unique Korean look), good value ($13 for the combo), and pretty good everything, makes this restaurant pretty compelling.

The service is HORRIBLE at this place! Everyone there is slow and rude. One waitress had the nerve to tell me that I ordered the wrong item, and that they wouldn't change it because "it's what I ordered" (I ordered by the menu item number, and I saw her write it down). The food quality is also mediocre and overpriced. Go to Seoul House http://www.seoulhouserestaurant.com/ instead (on Bellaire just east of Wilcrest, tucked in the corner next to the large white Kim Son).

It's a really bad service and rude owner (I guess the man who stay in the cashier is the owner). The food is also not to good. I've never found the restaurant with the bad service like this restaurant. Don't go to this restaurant. You will waste your time and money!!!

Natzi tofu? I've been several times and haven't seen owners or their employees behaving badly. Their tofu and their side dishes are "on". Their use of heavy wieghted bowls are classic authentic Korean that I have not seen regularly used in Houston. Being Korean, I would have no reservation in recomending this restaurant to anyone.
As for the prior comment regarding Seoul Restaurant, observe the # of other Koreans. There won't be many, if nay. Especially this one.

TOFU VILLAGE ON IRVING STREET KOREAN FOOD
taste is very bad and customer service is very bad especially the guy who has gold color hairs. I was thinking why boss hired him for customer service. Boss has to fire him. moreover, taste is based on chinese people and american people. Not Korean Cusine

Webster (Friendswood) location Poor service and bad managment ,We were treated very poorly there and emailed the corporate office with no response, Poor service and they dont care spend your money somewhere that will truly appreciate your Business

I love this restaurant! I'm not an expert in Korean foods, but I love the bulgogi, the tofu soup, and all the small side dishes. Service-wise, it is sometimes bad, but most of the times good.

BDW, I am from Asia and I am trying my best to learn cooking (decent meals :-)), but eating outside is really much easier, just be patient with the service sometimes, thanks for sharing your ideas... Busby SEO challenge
